I took my phone in for repairs in May 2013 and paid exces fee of R240, now the same phone is giving me problem, just to be on a safe side not to be suprised whn i collect my phone, i decided to call the century city edgars branch as usual to one picks up the phone and i called finrite edcon department to my suprise the information nonthlantla is not the same as below, i asked her about my options if i hand in my phone, she told me i will have to pay R240.00 again, am planing to hand in my phone next week, which would be a year since i had it insuranced. why must i pay R240 whereas i had my insurance for a year? ANOTHER RIP OFF

Thank you for sharing your concern with us once again. Claiming for a lost, damaged or cellphone an excess fee is payable on collection of your phone in store. As per your first claim you have paid an excess fee of R90. You are taking your phone in for repairs which will be done under your insurance. Because it is your second claim within a period of 12 consecutive months an excess fee of R240 is payable. If a third claim is processed within a period of 12 consecutive months there will be an an excess fee of R440.00
