On Fri 15 Nov, I went into Edgars Westville Pavilion (KZN), to join the Edgars Club, so that I can get discounted Sterkinekor movie tickets. I was served by a helpful lady Nontobeko. I was put on the telephone to speak to a customer service agent to reinstate my Edgars Club. I made it clear to the lady on the telephone the purpose of me joining Edgars Club (For movie tickets). I was told I can use my club card benefits immediately.
After hanging up, Nontobeko told me I need to phone the number on the card (number had since changed) to activate my Club card in 48 hours (Sunday). On Sunday 17 Nov, I phoned and activated my Club card, and was told it was only being activated in 24 hours. Mon 18 Nov, I returned to Edgars Pavilion, and saw Nontobeko again. I updated her about activating my card. Nontobeko told me, it is 48 hours. I was a bit irritated at this stage. I was also told by Nontobeko, that I haven't used my Edgars card for over 2 years, and I have to buy something to activate my benefits. I never bought anything. I went to Sterkinekor Musgrave centre straight afterwards and activated my movie club benefits (I didn't have to wait until Tuesday as Nontobeko said).
