November 2012 the water dispenser of my LG Fridge broke and I reported it to Hirschs Centurion. I paid for a new part R380.00 in January 2013, it is 18.11.2013 today and still do not have the part replaced. They turned up 4 times with the wrong part. Hirschs blames it on LG. It seems that Hirschs and LG are a bad combination. Why does LG have restrictions on their spare parts, they seem to be as incompetent as Hirschs themselves. Rather buy Bosch or Defy, etc just not LG and just not from Hirschs. It seems that they put the older stock on a special and then within three years time there will not be a spare part available for your appliance. This opened my eyes on so called specials and on the manufacturer of the appliances. If you cannot even find a lever for a water dispenser how are you going to find a more intricate part that you need to keep the motor going?
