Gaureented products not being replaced

I recently bought a lawn Mower at game Thohoyandou,

the item is now problematic and faulty, but it is still under Guarantee, so I took the item back to the store to have it REPLACED (i was under the impression that whilst still under guarantee items are replaced and only repaired if under warranty)

the store manager however refuses to have my Mower replaced and insists that it be sent away for repairs, does that not void the guarantee agreement?

are guarantee promises imposed but null and void when needed to be implemented?

this services is unsatisfactory to say the least,
do not give guarantees on products if they will be treated as warranties (not only is that unprofessional but it is also unethical)...
so now even though my product is still under guarantee I will have to be without it for approximately 21 days, is that really value for money?
...disappointed...
