I paid by direct debit and recieved a text message from my bank for the transaction. The cashier printed the receipt and it showed no value. Further to this I was told that i could not take the merchandise as the receipt did not show any value.
They refused to accept my text message from my bank as proof of payment. The staff would not give me their details but from their name badges I could take down their first names. Millicent, Nohlahla and Bridget did not help with my concerns and I was told by them that a reversal would be made if the transaction did go through. All my contact details were taken by the ladies mentioned above but till now I have not received any communication from them.
I phoned the department store and got hold of Millicent that argues that the transaction was reversed but I need to send her my bank statement that she can follow up.
Why do I have to follow up and chase these useless and incompetent personnel where we spend our hard earned cash?
