Woolies is HEARTLESS

In the month of September i paid almost double the required amount on my store card. On the 24th October my mum got ill and was hospitalized and passed away on 26/10/2013. i got a call on the same afternoon from a collections person advising that i'm in arrears on my account. i advised her that i have spoken to someone a few days earlier and told him the payment will be late but will be brought up to date by end November. I advised the lady that my mum passed away that morning and if she could call back a week or 2 later. She conveyed her sympathies and proceeded to asked when can i pay the account and bring it up to date. I was extremely disgusted with the question especially after what i just told her, once again she asked the same question to which i responded i will sort it out when i can. i also advised her that whatever additional interest and charges that accrue i will also pay yet she refused to listen and continued to ask for payment. The lady advised me that she can't put a payment on the system for November. After a while i just hung up. I will be closing the store account soon and will also be advising friends and family of this incident and to stop shopping at Woolies.
