I received a Blackberry 9320 as a gift which was from me a little over three months ago. An insurance claim was lodged through Ellerines and we were told that it takes /- 3 months for the phone to be replaced. On the 25th October I queried when I can expect the replacement phone and was told that the claim form had to be signed on all the pages by my mom (who had bought the phone on credit at Ellerines). Nobody phoned my mom to tell her she had to come in to sign the forms and when I asked why that is, I was told that they are struggling to source the phone. I asked if I cannot take another phone that is more or less the same price and was told no. I have to take the same phone. When I said that I see the shop in all the other shops, why are they struggling? They said the insurance company has to send them the phone and they cannot tell me when that will be. After 3 months, going in for the 4th month, I find that unacceptable. My mom is now paying for something we no longer have.
