My 18 year old son used his hard earned money to buy himself a pair of Strutz Arch Supports. He wore them for one hour on the first day (as stated on the packaging) and for about 3 hours on the second day. When he took them off, he noticed that the whole thing was ripped and was coming apart. We tried to return the item to the store for a refund - and was told that this article was non-returnable and non-refundable. There are no warnings on the packaging or anywhere in the store to inform customers that this item can not be returned. I think it is absolutely disgraceful that businesses like Verimark is allowed to openly their customers. If a product, priced at R130.00 is only going to last for four hours, then customers should be made aware that it is an inferior product and given the choice not to purchase it!! I was also told that I should not waste my time by trying to report the matter to the Consumer Protector as the outcome would still be the same. Verimark, somehow or other is apparently not bound by the Consumer Protection Act when it comes to Strutz Arch Supports. I've been a loyal Verimark customer for many years, but this was definitely the last time!!
