On 21/10/2013 I received an sms saying that I had won a milk frother. I needed to contact Homemark to claim my prize. I spoke to Steven Mathosa who confirmed that I had won the prize but needed to pay R130 by credit card for freight charges. If I paid by credit card then I would be in line to win a Polaroid Tablet valued at R6, 000. After I had given my credit card details I was told that I had indeed won a Tablet but needed to pay half the price (R3, 199.00) paid over 12 months interest free. I had hardly put down the phone when my BUDGET account was debited with R3, 199. So No 1 - you don't pay interest to Homemark but you pay it to the Bank - CLEVER!
No 2. The most expensive Tablet on Homemark Web Page - R3, 599 - NOT R6, 000. I IMMEDIATELY e-mailed Michael Denke (supervisor) and cancelled this order. No reponse!!! Phoned the direct line numbers several times - NO ONE PICKS UP. E-Mailed Homemark - NO RESPONSE. Phoned again and spoke to STEVEN. Promised Customer Care would phone me - NO RESPONSE. I dont want the Tablet - I can buy one cheaper from Game Stores and I want a refund.
