I have a problem with the so called illegal policy at Jet that you can not buy a cellphone unless if you take insurance with it. I truely believe that l am paying credit insurance for my Jet account and the only worry that Jet must have when l take a phone from them on account is WILL I MANAGE TO PAY THEM BACK, what happens with the phone after buying from them is my responsibility. I can not be forced to take insurance for a phone when all my other items are insured under another insurance company that l prefer using.
Last week on Sunday l was forced by the sales lady who was selling the phone to just sign up the insurance for a cellphone l was buying as l could not take the phone if its not insured. she advised me that l could cancel the insurance after one week and the premium would not go through my account.
I did urgue with her that insurance was not to be forced on people. Today a week after l have phoned Jet but the lady l spoke to said insurance is not forced and certainly the phone insurance will go through this month. She gave me a complaints department number that l have been holding onto for the past 10 minutes after the guy from there said he is generating a ref no.
