Misleading customers with false advertising & SMS

Edgars sent in September an SMS to my cell-phone stating that - "SAVE UP TO R400, 00. When you get to the till the cashier says it is EXLCUSIVE to club members. It happened previously with me at the East rand Mall branch. I asked the cashier to call the manager. After waiting for a while he arrived and then gave me my discount. When at Alberton City I again called the manager and she bluntly refused my discount. I asked her why the false advertising and if it was only for club members why do Edgars send me a sms as their system will clearly show I am not a club member. The banners in the shop floor also clearly states exclusive to Thank U Card Holders. She then said all I must do is to become a club member. I refused and asked if can lay a complaint. She brought me a form which I completed and she told me somebody from Edgars head office will contact me. It is now about a month without any contact from my complaint.
