Edgar's credit book sale to ABSA

Received a letter in September 2013 informing of above & "due to insufficient information on my account, ... They were unable to sell my account. Edcon will therefore not be providing credit going forward... Account will be closed on 31 January 2014. I can re-apply to open an account."

Customer centre, Pavilion visited to enquire further. Response - "account too old. Sorry but this is a Johannesburg letter."

Interesting that increased credit limits were passed on continuously with "insufficient account Information" to customers whose accounts are unable to be sold?

Well guess what Edgar's has just lost a problem free and loyal customer, not to mention that my account with them probably dates back in excess of 20 years.

Clearly Edgar's doesn't need my business and if I can, will avoid visiting any, or purchasing from, any Edcon stores.
