I went in today to Foschini, where the manageress is known for her great service and personality. I expected this from her staff as well. Sadly, one of them, has actually tarnished the image of the store. There was a 33% sale off. I saw Hlengi (she did not have a name badge), but was identified by this name by a staff member. I asked her in a very conversational manner, when did the sale start? She said she didn't know! I said surely you should know, you work here. She said she DID NOT KNOW! I said that's strange, you do work here. She said, well, she has no idea! I'm shocked, so I said, you work here, and have no idea, maybe you should be more aware of what goes on in your store. She responded, she does know, it started long ago. I pressed on, ...WHEN? She said " last year". In my humble opinion, she was giving me attitude. Being extremely stubborn, so I said, " Really, this 33% started last year, bearing in mind we in September. She said, Well, you didn't specify that you were asking about this specific 33% sales. She treated me with disdain, arrogance, and was downright antagonistic to me, as a paying customer asking a valid question in a very friendly manner. Dr P Chetty
