Cannot assist with changing debit order date

I have started working at a new company and I now get paid at the end of the month and not the 25th I managed to change my debit order date with no hassle with Vodacom, Neotel, Auto and General and Outsurance. Then I had to experience the grief of dealing with Hi Finance I spoke to Tsepo from the Clearwater Branch where I had my account opened he said that he cannot change the date because it was already sent for processing he then tells me I must let the debit order bounce and come into the store to make payment, obviously he does not know the bank charges you for rejected debit orders and simply did not care to try and assist me. How difficult can it be to just assist me with a simple request???
