Received Foschini Account - Never applied for one

Last night i go collect my post from my previous residence, only to find a Foschini Account. I have never applied or have ever had a Foschini Account. The account has been maxed out at over R10 000. My question is how on earth did they manage to open an account without my ID, proof of residence, 3 month bank statements or drivers. I have not lost any of my personal ID's or anything like that. The other thing is that all purchases were made in the Vereeniging area - I live in Cape Town and haven't been out of cape town in 24 years.

Surely it is the responsibility of the store to confirm (FICA) all the documents received!

To me, and i maybe wrong, but the only explanation as to how this person (s) managed to open an account without any of the above ID documents is that it is an internal person bypassing the correct security check procedures that are to be followed is approving the accounts.

This is completely unacceptable and i would like Foschini to do a detailed investigation into the matter and explain how something like this is even possible without the "account owner" even being aware of the application for the account.
