I have been made aware by a potential employer that I am blacklisted by Foschini over a R192 unpaid account and therefore they could not proceed with application of employment. After receiving these news I contacted Foschini customer service to get clarity on the account as I do not have any account with them. I spoke to Alicia who advised me that I appently opened the account at Cresta on 6 August 2012. I told her I did not open the account and I was not aware of such transaction. She escalated the matter to her team leader who advised of the process to follow whenlogging a dispute. I requested that they (Foschini) must issue me with a letter that confirms receipt of my document as well as the fact that Im disputing the account and the matter is being investigated so I could submit it to potential employers. Unfortunaley Annie the team leader informed that they do not issue such letters and when I insisted on it she gave the forensic dept contact details which I must say are not working.
I'm frustrated can't do anything up until the investigation is finalised &my life is on a standstill because of lack of adequate internal controls within the Foschini group. I requested to
