My wife purchased a Bayliss gas operated hot-air brush from Clicks in Farrarmere, Benoni three weeks ago. The gas cylinder needs replacing In the past week, she has tried every branch of Clicks she has seen, but NONE of them have any stock.
I phoned the Clicks Customer Service and spoke to one of the Call Centre agents. I was told that, according to their computer, there was ONE branch in Johannesburg (around 40 min drive each way) and ONE in Pretoria (around 55 min each way) and that I could go and get one at either place.
I advised the gentleman (whose fault, I agree, it is not) that I would be returning the product to the Clicks store and would be getting a refund. He didn't appear at all concerned. If I were their C/S manager, I would email all the branches that, as a short-term solution, the staff should open a box containing the product, remove the gas cartridge and sell it to the customer at the applicable price. When the new stock of cartridges arrives, they could replace the cartridges. All they will get now is many returned, used items with empty gas cartridges and a bunch of disgruntled customers. KEN NEW
