When Woolworths goes offline - bad signage

Whenever the Woolworth's card machines go offline, that Woolworths puts a little sign up in the payment aisle stating the customers can not pay by debit card. Yesterday I went to the Rosebank Mall Woolworths and their sign was printed on an A4 paper and the type was small. I did not get to read the sign as there was no line of people and I went to pay directly, upon handing over my debit card the lady said they were offline. This is after I shopped for 20 minutes with my basket full of groceries and now I could not pay. I asked her why did they not put signs up and she pointed to the A4 paper with the small type! This is not the first time this has happened to me at this Woolworths and the Norwood Mall Woolworths. I have told both of the till ladies then that their signs are way too small and should be put up where you enter the store! Before you full your basket you need to be told that you can only pay with cash or credit card. Why is there no signs up at the doors stating this in very big type??? It is a huge inconvenience to busy working people with little time to shop. Why cant there be someone at the door telling customers you are offline??? Surely this would make most sense.
