I got an email on 12 August (a Monday) stating that my delivery was "with our courier partner". Only on 16 August (that Friday) did I get another email stating that the courier couldn't get hold of me to confirm delivery. (Not true: no missed calls, but anyway...) Yesterday afternoon the couriers phoned my dad to confirm delivery and... they didn't show. Today (20 August) when I spoke to my dad, he said that he actually had to drive out to go meet the courier guy at a filling station because he couldn't find the address! How exactly can this happen? Surely delivery and courier companies have GPS systems, or at least a map book?
I really don't have any problem with Takealot and I have never in all my years of shopping with you had a bad experience. I still don't... except for the delivery. In the past when you used DHL, Berco, FedEx or CourierIT, I always got my parcels on time and - most importantly - delivered to my door.
Given the most "popular" complaint on hellopeter, I'd say let us choose who should deliver our parcels, even if it costs a bit extra. I'd rather pay R100 more to have my parcel delivered professionally than go through this experience again.
