On 30 July i visited Paddocks Clicks Pharmacy to get prescribed antibiotics for my child. I was told they only have half of the dosage of prescribed Orelox, that i must come back the next day for the remainder. My husband went back on the evening of the 31st to collect the remainder, on Friday morning i opened this second bottle to find the powder was not activated and my husband confirms he was not told about this by the locum Ashley A. who dispensed this. My child had to go without her dosage this morning. I called the pharmacy this morning and spoke to locum Farhana who apologised saying that i can activate the powder myself with distilled water, is that ethical for me to be told by a pharmacist to do this? She indicated there isn't a senior pharmacist employed at that branch so i could not escalate my complaint. I am going back to the pharmacy to have the powder activated. Further to this issue, i went to the same pharmacy yesterday morning to have my son's script for Orelox filled only yo be told there isn't stock of this and that i should go to the pharmacy at the Mediclinic across the road. We need better services here.
