WHAT HAPPENED TO ACCEPTING IDENTIFICATION

I went to Clicks & had cash back vouchers. When I got to the till & handed in the vouchers, Lucia asked for my Clicks card, which I didn't have in my purse as I used it last night to pay for movie tickets & gave it to my husband to keep. I can understand the security issue around this, but what gets to me is the fact that I am willing to show identification. On the vouchers is my card number & details. What would be so difficult to confirm the vouchers belong to me? I once wrote a compliment re this branch for good service. What happened? Lucia just keeps on telling me she can lose her job & when mentioning for the 5th time: but I can show identification, she just sticks to her story. I also said in that case, put the goods through, I will write to Clicks, she just said, do that. I'm all for security processes, but this is insane. What I also dont understand: they worry about a R90 voucher when you cant show your card, but they dont even check if the signatures matches whats on the back of the c/card?? Anyone can spend way more than R90 on someone elses card & they get away with it coz it wasnt checked, but they stress out for R90 on a cash back voucher. She couldve done more to assist me. Disappointing!!!
