Overdue account, I never opened

I received a call on the 23rd of July from Foschini Group indicating that my account is overdue. The caller said I have opened the account at Due South. I told the caller that I have never opened the account at Due South. She told me to make an affidavit at the police station and go to the nearest Due South store and they will assist me. They faxed the complaint form with affidavit and ID copy to Foschini forensic department on the same day. I am still waiting for the forensic department to contact me. I am worried about my credit record cause I never opened an account at Due South.
