Zara
Person with disability treated unfairly

I have a Congenital Dislocation of my right hip, which has resulted in me having a limp. I have a disability parking disk, as walking long distances or for long periods results in pain to my right hip. When shopping, I always use a Trolley instead of a walking stick/walker, as it provides balance and makes it easier to store my handbag, parcels etc, whilst providing support to my leg (I lean on the trolley). I have been shopping at Zara since doors opened. On the first day I was informed of the store policy, of not allowing shopping trolleys, however, once I explained my situation, I was always welcomed and acknowledged by the Managers (an Indian gentleman and lady). With no problems. I visited the store today, and the security guard once again pleasantly acknowledged me and allowed me in. I collected my purchase and was about to pay, when a lady Nonkululeko (assistant manager for kids), very rudely advised me that I needed to remove the trolley. Even after I explained my situation, she called Anthony, the manager, and they both were adamant that I needed to remove the trolley. I left the store without my purchases and WILL NOT RETURN. Very disappointed! Appalling!!
