WHY WAS INTEREST CHARGED

I bought an item of clothing on my account on 29 June 2013, used my Thank you points and was supposed to get another 20% off because of the Brand Sale which you had. That was a complete FAIL because the system did not identify the Jockey item of clothing as a sale item. I do not need to get into that because I made peace with the fact. Immediately after that, I settled my account and on 6 July 2013 was charged R35.92 interest. WHY? My account had a positive balance. A few years ago I asked to move to an interest free account and I thought the person activated it. I would like that to be initiated please.
