Why get an extended warranty

Dear Game,

i purchased an LG 50" plasma tv from canal walk in january 2012 - it broke on 7th june2013. I logged a call with extended warranty and they collected it on the 11th july 2013. Thanks for that. But since they no1 calls me to let me know what is going. After calling around i found out that LG is closed in cape town and that my tv is now with the samsung distributor. They asked me to call Game extended warranties in durban which i did and they told me that they were sourcing a part (mainboard). I have called again today as i would just like to know what is going on with my tv? The part has not arrived and they think it might get there on friday but they are not sure.

my concern is that we take out the extended warranty with Game in good faith. I have paid Game in full for this. Now once my tv is broken everyone seems to be passing the buck. The tv repair people have no problem in telling me they are samsung and my tv is the 1st LG they have received.

I have no confidence in the fact that samsung can even fix an LG tv,
They cant even call a customer to let them know whats going on?

Game, please find out what is going on? Im really disappointed...
