My husband purchased me a pair of Tiffany & Co Sunglasses from Sunglass Hut 18 months ago. The Tiffany documentation clearly states a 2 year guarantee. When one of stones fell out I returned them to Sunglass Hut Fourways Mall. They sent me to Edgars to see their manager, who then sent me back to Sunglass Hut? He first argued that Sunglass Hut only offer a 1 year guarantee even though the product itself holds a 2 year guarantee but after making a lot of fuss they agreed to repair the sunglasses. When I picked them up the sales assistant drops the sunglasses on the counter 3 times in-front of me because her nails are too long to hold them properly. The sunglasses I look after so well & treat like gold - what a lack of professionalism. The day after I picked them up a stone fell out of the other arm. He paid in excess of R3000 for these sunglasses, surely they should be of a better quality? Now I must return them again, live without my sunglasses for 2 - 3 weeks, is that really the quality of the Tiffany brand that Luxottica are selling?
