I received a R150 Typo gift card from a friend for my birthday. Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend it at the new Atterbury Store. What a HUGE disappointment! The lady behind the register was chewing gum all the time while processing the items I intended to purchase. When I presented my gift card she indicated that it was not working. I asked her to assist me as I did not know what to do. She said I must leave my items and come back another day to try again to use the card. I asked her what was wrong with the card but she spoke to another lady in an African language. It was very insulting towards me and I felt horrible - as if I wanted the items but could not afford it. I left the store without the items, with my gift card. She did not offer to assist to rectify the situation. I think she is a bad 'first impression' to the store, and I will never ever shop there again. The music was also annoying, playing extremely loud. I could hardly hear her speaking to me. Should I just cut the card and throw it away? It is really ridiculous...
