My partner and I went to Mr Price at Maerua Mall on the evening of the 4th July 2013 and made a purchase to the value of N$711.00.
I am a working mum, so only did my laundry on Saturday when I washed the shirts and jeans prior to us wearing them, I washed the various coloured shirts by hand, only to realise that the one shirt had torn during the washing.
I presented my receipt and purchase to the cashier on the evening of 08th July 2013, the cashier went to consult with the Store Manager, she never introduced herself to me so did get her name, she walked up to the till point with the shirt in her hand and said "sorry this is not a fabric defect, it has been torn during the wash process" I was gob smacked in the first instance, for one her rudeness, of not introducing herself to me and for not taking me aside and discussing this matter with me, she basically intentionally humiliated me in front of other shoppers, by her accusation.
The professionalism was totally unacceptable to me, the manager needs to ensure that customers are treated with respect and dignity, people work hard for money that is spent in their stores. I am never shopping at Mr Price Maerua Mall again and will d
