Careless till operato

I have just received my credit card statement and discovered that a purchase made at Pick 'n Pay on my credit card on 30 May was wrongly entered as a budget purchase by Ms Jordan. The bank have reversed the error but say they cannot reverse the interest charged for the month. The interest charged was R9.30 Why should I be out of pocket because of a till operators careless error??
