I bought a Samsung Laptop at Hi Fi Corporation, Southgate Johannesburg early January 2012. Around the period of September 2012 it started developing 2 lines that ran down from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. Those lines were not cracks but rather a screen defect. I took it in for repairs and received a quotation that was not what I was promised at face value when the laptop was being evaluated. Since I did not have that money, I requested that they return it. When I went to fetch the laptop, I realised that the whole screen was completely cracked which rendered the laptop useless. I took it back and requested it fixed at no expense to me as the condition it was in was not the condition I took it in at. The branch manager at that time. Who goes by the name Pule Meje, told me to go 50/50 on the quotation as he did not want to be held accountable for damaging he laptop. After spending a few months raising the money to pay the quotation, I went back and found there was a new branch manager by the name of Allen Muller who offered to help me at no cost. It was around April/May 2013. Nothing has been done until now and the laptop has been at the shop since October 2012
