A week ago the screen of my NEW Toshiba laptop cracked, my husband took it back to Hi Fi corporation (within 7 days after purchase) to have the screen replaced. I spoke to the manager of the Menlyn branch on the phone, he basically accused me of cracking my screen on purpose and that they will not be replacing the screen but they would send it to Toshiba for an assessment. After I spoke to the manager, I phoned head office to lay a complaint about how I was treated by the manager. Later the same day I received a call from the area manager of Hi Fi Corporations and I retold my story to him as well. Since then I have heard nothing about my complaint. In this week myself and my husband contact Hi Fi corporation to enquire about my laptop. I spoke to someone in the IT department and he said that customer service would phone me and I left my number, until now nobody of customer service has phoned me back. When my husband phoned he was informed that the laptop is still in store and not sent to Toshiba.
