Hi,

I bought a Philips Sonicare Healthy White electric toothbrush on special in January 2013 for R200 (marked down from R990). The payment went through and was told they needed to get stock from KZN. I eventually got an email that said there was no stock left - sorry for the inconvenience but here is my money back and a voucher for R200. I was adamant that I wanted a a toothbrush not a voucher. Why would I buy an electric toothbrush unless I planned to use it for a number of years - it's not a commodity buy.

I spoke to the online store manager and the assistant online and they indicated that the stock in KZN was faulty so they thought they had stock but didnt actually - why wouldnt they send this faulty stock back to Philips to get replaced if indeed it was faulty?

Here's my complaint:
(1) I didn't want a voucher - I wanted a toothbrush that was on a great special and I had purchased it already (I could have gone into the store rather than do it online)

(2) I really want a toothbrush - So if dionwired dont have stock then I have to buy them somewhere else. And wait - They are not on special - They are R1000 everywhere else. And the R200 voucher doesnt help.
