Hi,
I bought an Oral B professional care 500 electric toothbrush on special in December 2012 for R329.
It worked for 2 weeks and died when I was away on holiday. I returned it the first week of January and expected a replacement.
I took it back and was told that they did not have stock but they would give me a voucher. I was adamant that I wanted a replacement. Why would I buy an electric toothbrush and unless I planned to use it for a number of years - it's not a commodity buy.
I told the assistant that I wanted a replacement and that I was happy to wait for them to order me one. I was told take the voucher and they would phone and find me stock and get back to me asap.
Well its been a week and I've heard nothing. So they gave me the voucher with the intention of getting rid of me.
Here's my complaint:
(1) I didn't want a voucher - I don't typically shop at Dischem.
(2) I really want a toothbrush - So if dischem dont have stock then I have to buy them somewhere else. And wait - They are not on special - They are now R499 everywhere else. And the R329 return cannot be used
(3) I expect someone who says they will get back to me to GET BACK to me in less than a week
