Dis-Chem
Accused of

On the 7th, I went to Dis-chem to fill a prescription. I paid and left the pharmacy. Yesterday (6 days later) I received a phone call from the pharmacist who had processed my prescription, who informed me that I had left the pharmacy without paying and insisting that I needed to come in to 'settle' the issue. I had, by then, thrown my receipt away but had thankfully paid by check card, leaving me with proof of payment. I told the pharmacist that I could send her the bank transaction, and that I had indeed paid but she wouldn't accept anything but the receipt and kept insisting that I come to the store. She continued with her repeated accusations that I had not paid since she could find no evidence in her documents. I eventually emailed her my bank's proof of payment but I have not received a response a day later.

Being falsely accused of has left a bad taste in my mouth, particularly since I have yet to receive a response telling me the issue has been resolved with my bank document. The matter should have been dealt with more diplomatically. I spend a minimum of R2000 at your branch every month and feel that your loyal clients deserve better treatment.
