I was paying for account protection in case anything happened either retrenchment or death. Unfortunately i got retrenched so i had to fill in all the required docs at Edgars Adderly Street Cape Town. They told me to come back for a response from the insurance company in 2 weeks, so i went back in 3 weeks hoping i will definitely have a response. To my surprise nothing was done the insurance company never received anything probably the lady i gave my papers to threw them in the bin. I spoke to a manager who advised everything will be sorted, i was given a number to call and ask for Lasan who was supposed to sort everything out. Since 1 November 2012 until now, i keep calling them and i don't get a response, they tell me Lasan will call you but she has never. Now Edgars headoffice are calling me every day because my account is due but all this because of someone's incompetence. I have to call the insurance company on my own to make a follow up because Edgars Adderly are not doing their job. The customer service is poor i had to wait 2 hrs for them to look up for my docs but still it didn't help. Now my credit record will be messed up but i have been paying insurance for a long time
