It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this complaint particularly because I feel like the staff at the store from which I bought my office chair is basically leaving me out in the cold.
I bought an office chair (Bene Highback Operators Chair Headrest - Synchro mechanism - Slidingseat mechanism - Nylon base - 3D arms - Black (Each)) from Waltons at Preller Square (Bloemfontein) in March, I have been using the chair on and off since I've bought it and from the get go I could feel some discomfort but I thought “it's a new chair my body still needs to get used to it”, then I think 2 months in I started getting back pains since then I've been trying to pin point what exactly is it that could be giving me the back pains.
I utilise an office chair at work which I've been using long before I bought the one from Waltons and I had never had this issue before, I thought maybe it might be the car seat, since it's a work car and it is used by different people, the chair gets adjusted a lot however I have been using the car for a while now and I have never had back pains before.
So I have been able to pin point that the office chair I bought in March is actually the one that is giving me the back pains, as such, I contacted the store regarding this, the lady whom I assume to be the manager at the store advised that I should adjust the chair higher and to make sure that my back is always against the back of the chair and I complied but I am still experiencing the pain.
The staff at the store is now telling me that they cannot do anything to help me particularly because it's 5 month later, I am being told that I should have reported the matter earlier, of which I could've but in the past 5 months I had been trying to make sense of is it the chair giving me back pains or something else and I am now sure that it is actually the chair that is giving me back pains.
For the amount of money I spend on the chair I was expecting far better service than this, As a big guy I specifically bought that chair knowing that it will support my weight, I even went and weighed myself before I bought the chair. I do not appreciate how Derrell is insinuating that I have back problems by asking if I have ever hurt my back even after telling him that I have never had back problems before, he suggested that I buy back support and I am willing to do that but what is that does not solve the problem I’m having?
The store hasn’t even bothered to send someone over to check the is the chair has a fault or not.
