Went to the canal walk store 22/05/2013, when the WiiU sale was first leaked, and left my details and two friends details, for the proposed reservation of 3 consoles for the 30/05/2013 sale. The clerk indicated she'd call me if the manager said it was a problem, or if the price changed on the system earlier. The agreement was that we had to be in the queue at least. We went back monday 27/05/2013 and re-confirmed all this with the clerk and she confirmed she still had our details and we had to be in the queue and not arrive later in the day.
Arriving on the 30/05/2013 around 7:55am, we queued with around 20 people ahead of us, and the manager did a partial queue count and went inside. Once we got near the door, we were informed the sale was over, and when going to the above clerk, the response was 'No Luck' with a smile, and that was all. No call, no apology or explanation and no WiiU's.
This type of service and false expectation is a poor reflection of ToysRUS service. The manager alone could've told the queueing people that stock was limited. The clerk could've called to say it's not possible to keep 3 anymore if we queued.
A very poor experience indeed that should be rectified
