I checked an Ad that Toys R Us were having a sale on the Nintendo Wii U console on 30 May 2013 for R1000. This morning, 30 May 2013, i went to the store at 7am to avoid long queues to purchase this console. When i arrived i was the 10th person in the queue and waited 2 hours for the store to open. Once the store opened we were informed that there was only 7 units available and only the first 7 whom queued first would get them.
Now how can you have a sale with only 7 units in stock? Why advertise a big sale if u don't have the stock to accommodate the massive public. Some of the people contacted the head office and spoke to a person, Dirk who said that the store has 25 units available. But they only issued 7 units and insisted that there's only 7. Something does not add up here and i feel like a fool for going and waiting for 2 hours in a line. The store manager arrived before 8am and could have informed us that there's only 7 units, not wait till 9am.
I feel this is unfair. You should have stock in the teens to have a sale.
Please respond as to how u going to fix this situation.
