Closed acc with no notice and excepting payment

The accont was apparently in arrears and handed over to a firm of attorneys for collection. I continued to pay the account at the store in The Glen shopping centre where I opened the account. In November or December of 2012, I paid up the account and all was well and never was I notfied that the account was closed. In January 2013 I continued to pay money into this account putting the account in debit. Little did I know that Miladys had closed this account already without notifying me or without my permission, yet they still accept my money inspite of the fact that they had already closed the account, and even then they did not inform me that the account has been closed. Today, 28 May 2013 when I took my wife to buy an outfit I was very embarassed and annoyed as I was informed in the shop after selecting outfits that this account has been closed last year already. At the same time I am told that the extra money that I have paid in, does reflect on the system at head office and if I want it I must phone head office in Durban to apply for a refund. This I find very unpleasant and unacceptable. I was never informed or consulted about the closing of this account.
