Overcharging and non responsive to enquiries

I am currently abroad and have been making payments on my Edgars account either electronically or via my mom back in SA. I have a 6-month payment plan and in March I noticed that the instalments remained the same regardless of the monthly payments. I contacted the accounts department in Cape Town and they just demanded that I pay the total due without any explanation of how the amount was calculated. I didnt make a payment in April because I was curious as to how they would make an adjustment to the total due. According to my latest statement (May) the total due is R1, 964.76 on an outstanding balance of R2, 884.59!! They have given me 20 days to pay or I will be listed as a slow payer at the credit bureau.

It is quite obvious to me that I am being overcharged and this is the third time that I have queried the statements. All I get from the accounts/collections department is attitude demanding that I pay the total due. Edcon is quick to list people on ITC or Experian but they are absolutely incompetent in dealing with account queries! I am fed up with the poor service and will be closing this account soonest!
