Edgars
Selling cellphone insurance under false pretences

I took out cellphone insurance at Edgars Vangate Mall in 03/12/2011 and was assisted by Noxolo Banga. I chose the insurance cover from R 2001.00 to R 3000.00 and he informed me that I will be covered for up to R 3000.00 meaning should I loose or damage my phone. Due to on the 05/05/2013 I was forced to submit a claim at Edgars Bellville Store and was assisted by a lady called Adine who informed me that I will only be covered for the market value of my phone which is R 2000.00. Note that the Blackberry 9300 has been discontinued and the only other option I have is to take the Blackberry 9320. To my surprise I was told to pay the difference of R 599.99 including the access fee. I don't see why I have to pay the difference when I was misinformed. I always make prior provisions for anything that may affect my finances and though and damage is unforeseen I would not have been shocked to hear of additional payments to be made. I expect an immediate response with regard to this issue as I have had enough of Edgars staff inconsistency.
