I bought this tractor new from WES ENTERPRIZES in Thabazimbi in 2011. After 750 hours the engine developed a knocking noise. After inspection by the dealer it was foung that one of the gudgeonpins on one of the pistons was not fitted with a circlip which caused damage to the sleeve. The dealer overhauled the engine under warranty but since then the tractor started to use 200ml of oil for every 8 working hours. Before the repairs the tractor`s oil level did not need filling up between service intervals consisting of 250 hours. After much communication and arguing the service manager of ARGO informed me that no further attention will be given to the matter and no attempts will be made to restore my tractor to the condition it was in before the dealer had its fingers on it.
