On Tuesday the 30/04/2012, I was in Checkers Brackenhurst Square at the butchery section looking at the mince when a huge explosion went off directly in the vicinity that I was standing. The blast was so loud that I actually felt it on my skin, and as I stood holding onto my trolley I fully expected the staff that were in the area to start running and panicking. Instead, the lady from the butchery came out of the butchery as well as all the bakery staff, They stood around in clusters talking and pointing. The butchery lady said to me "It happened right here, " and pointed to where I was standing. I could not for the life of me believe that something like that could happen in a grocery store, and no one offers an explanation or assistance of any kind. After I regained my senses, my only reaction was to get the out of that Store. The next day I called and spoke to Lydia, who told me that nothing had been reported and that she would call me back. She did call me back to tell me they had no idea what the problem was and that the manager would call me back to discuss what had happened with me. Still waiting. I was left distraught by this incident, and someone needs to get back to me!
