Firstly let me say that I really enjoy shopping at this Checkers, the staff are friendly and it's conveniently located for me.
On Sunday the 1st of September I purchased 2 Club Steaks from the Checkers Butchery at the Van der Lingen Square butchery.
When we opened the first steak it seemed fine but upon opening the second one, it was obviously off. These things happen, I had my slip and I took it back. The staff were very apologetic and they happily replaced it.
Upon getting home, we opened the new steak and it was off too!
By the time we'd smelled 2 rotten steaks our appetites were well and truly gone, I can still smell it!
Now really, I get that these things happen but 2 steaks, that warrants some looking into.
I do all my grocery shopping at Checkers but to be quite honest I don't know that any meat I buy there is going to be ok from now on. It probably will be but my impressionis seriously affected.
You might have lost a customer here Checkers.
