Saturday 06.04.2013 I purchased Honey and Mustard chicken sosaties at the butchery in Checkers Hyper Canal Walk. To my embarrassment later that evening at a friends braai I opened the packaging and immediately smelt the stench of off chicken, I'm sure it was a few days old because the smell was absolutely horrid. The following morning I returned these sosaties however nevermind the fact that we stood in a queue waiting for all the staff to pay for all their goods first before we got helped (I dont see how it can be called customer care if its the staff pay-point) the staff couldn't give two ticks about what you returning, a mere apology would suffice instead standing by the till holding their nose because of the smell seems as a better option.
Yes i got my money back, but the fact that this is suppose to be fresh meat which the butchery staff pack and seal as you choose through the glass counter is unacceptable, could they not smell this, I mean how long was this chicken laying there for it to smell so bad??
