Takes 2 months to repair a watch?

My strap broke of my Fossil watch (brand new and broke after 2 months!?)
Being under guarantee I took it to the store.
Only problem is that the repair take 2 months!?!?
Seriously?
Dropped my IPhone the other day with a cracked screen - It was fixed within 7 working days.
Surely a strap of a Fossil watch valued at R1500 can be fixed faster?
