I went into PEPstores Trumshed to get two starterpack sim cards. I communicated with the cashier in English, but replied back in Sotho asking what language I spoke. I then said Setswana. He then replied "then talk to me in Tswana". I then spoke a bit in Setswana but refered back to English, as I felt it was my right to speak my preferred language being paying customer. He then said stop speaking English, and tiring yourself, I replied by saying "Sir I'm a paying customer and have the right to speak whatever language I prefer". He raised his voice and said in Sotho "people are really causing themselves to suffer with this English language, when they could speak their mother tongue". Everyone in the que heard and I became a spectacle, I then took out my tablet to log on to HelloPeter, but he grabbed my device and threatened to hit me. I asked the lady who was next to him for his name, and he yelled out "DAVID, its also there on the receipt". Twice he grabbed my tablet away from me, i was a paying customer, and he ill treated me. The supervisor was there, so I went out, but came back in to report to the supervisor that I was going to report the incident. Footage in store.
