Called SARS regarding a letter that my mom received. She cant read English and I wanted to ask them what exact info did they require so that I can help translate to her. I was met with serious arrogance and I was told by Virginia that she must get a tax consultant. The supervisor (Loraine) was even more aggressive and said my mom must call and someone who can speak he language will help her. She did call could not even work out the voice prompts. SARS is very discouraging and harsh towards those who can not speak the "English" and that very disappointing given that isiXhosa is the second wildly spoken language in South Africa. I am very disappointed.
