As Edcon customer, i am not happy with privacy of our information. i had an incident last year where someone used duplicate of my card and had my full information which he rehearsed before doing the purchase so that he can answer all questions for verification. He purchased on 12/12/12 at Edgars - Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg - Kwazulu-Natal twice in one day, total was R5400 He was arrested trying to purchase again 16/12/12 Edgars at Mall @ Reds .. i have the photos of the incident which i will attach. He had same card as mine, wrong signature. When the police searched his wallet, he had someones information i.e: Full names, ID number, full work details, cell No, last date of purchase date, when the account was opened, balance. He had that information written on paper. I blocked the card and was given another card. Now same incident happened on 04/05/2013 Edgars - West Street Durban - Kwazulu-Natal. This person used another Card (duplicate) and managed to answer all question for verification from a cashier. I was called by control officer who happened to notice something wrong and the person had already gone because they saw that on CCTV apparently (Lindo Thusi).
