I want to lodge a complaint about the service or lack of by ADT Security. I have and alarm system which due to unforeseen circumstances was affected by lightning. A technician came out and checked the alarm and quoted an amout of R2912 to replace the circuit board. My contract has lightning protection. I therefore asked ADT what are the next steps and was told I need to pay some amount in the region of R1300 as I'm only covered for R1700. This to me came as a surprise because I read the terms & conditions of the contract and nowhere in these terms & conditions does it state R1700 only cover. I asked ADT (Ricky) to give me a copy of this contract stipulating this R1700 only and he failed to provide for over two months now. I called again today [04/11/13] and spoke to Thabani who explained the same and I asked him I don't have that stated anywhere on my contract. I therefore want ADT to please replace this system as I have been paying them lightning cover or failure of which they must refund me my lightning protection cover monies because it clearly does not work and remove their unit from my house I will find another security company.
